Boiler Tube Training

Exploring the Inner Workings of a Power Plant Boiler: VR Training for Enhanced Learning

A power plant boiler is an immense structure, complex and densely packed with walls of tubes and heat exchangers. Traditional 2D drawings are intricate and often challenging to interpret, making it difficult for learners to grasp the full picture. But with Virtual Reality (VR), understanding a boiler’s operations becomes intuitive, immersive, and efficient.

Our step-by-step VR training takes users through the entire water flow system, offering a clear view of how each component functions within the boiler. A built-in research tool enables users to locate specific parts and view them in both scaled-down and real-life sizes. Plus, learners can freely explore the boiler, accessing areas that would otherwise be difficult to reach, providing a unique, hands-on experience in a safe virtual environment.

Hybrid Access: VR and PC Options

For flexibility, our program is also accessible from a PC without requiring a VR headset. While this mode doesn’t deliver the same immersive experience, it provides a convenient option for quick access and refresher sessions. Users can navigate as a virtual “walker” through the model, similar to the VR version, or use a CAD-style navigation system, allowing for complete freedom to explore every angle of the boiler model.

Whether in VR or on PC, our program offers an advanced, accessible way to learn and master the complexities of power plant boiler systems.
